Triple eccentric butterfly valves are widely used in industrial pipelines such as metallurgy, power, petrochemical, water supply and drainage, and municipal construction where the medium temperature is ≤ 425 ºC.
They are used for regulating flow and carrying fluids. The materials are divided into: cast iron, cast steel, and stainless steel.
The durable ASTM A216 Butterfly Valve D343H-16C DN200 is a hard sealed butterfly valve that features an eccentric metal sealing structure.
This valve utilizes a metal to metal sealing form, allowing for the exchange of the metal sealing ring with a metal sealing option. The sealing is achieved through the use of stainless steel plate and graphite compound.
Eccentric Butterfly Valve. The valve utilizes a unique triple eccentric structure. Zero friction will emerge between the valve plate and the sealing ring. Triple-offset Butterfly Valves, shaft offset is created by designing the valve with the shaft located behind the centerline of the sealing surface (offset1) and slightly to one side of the pipe centerline (offset2).
The third offset is the point of intersection of tangents of the seat and disc sealing deviating from the disc face. These offers are to completely eliminate all disc-to-seat friction throughout the valve's entire 90 degrees of rotation. Metal seal and laminated seat are optional. The triple offset provides ANSI Class IV, V, and VI leakage performance. The seat seal ring can be changed easily from the body.
